Overview
EP955 Series Silicon is a Low Power MHL (Mobile High-definition Link) transmitter. The chip is compliant with MHL Rev 2.0 and HDCP Rev 1.4 specifications. The chip converts input video data in RGB or YUV format and audio data in IIS or SPDIF format into MHL differential signals. The chip supports 8-bit video upto 1080i/720p 60Hz or 1080p 30Hz in RGB/YCC444. The chip also support 1080p 60Hz in YCC422. 3D video is also supported. The chip supports highly flexible digital video input in a muxed 12-bits mode or non-muxed 24-bit mode input. In both modes, the chip supports single or dual edge clocking. The chip also integrated MHL Multiplexer on chip to save system cost.
