Overview
EP92Z5E is a 6 Ghz HDMI 2.0 Splitter with 4K2K Super Resolution Engine (SRE), Re-Timed Audio and dual HDMI outputs. The chip supports 2 HDMI RX ports and two HDMI TX ports with Video Conversion, Audio Re-Timing, Dual 3G to Single 6G conversion and HDCP 1.4 to HDCP 2.2 Conversion capabilities.
The on-chip Video SRE can convert video input stream from 1080p 30 to 4K2K 30 and 1080p 60 to 4K2K 60. The Re-Timed Audio can change video timing mode (register programmable) and keep audio stream intact. The chip also support Dual 3G Even/Odd or Left/Right to Single 6G conversion and HDCP 1.4 to HDCP 2.2 conversion.
Each HDMI TX port can be configured to output Converted Video, Re-Timed Audio or by-pass AV stream from HDMI RX port.
The chip is compliant with HDMI 1.4/2.0 and HDCP 1.4/2.2. The chip supports SD/HD Audio and HD/3D/4K2K Video. The chip is also integrated with on-chip MCU with firmware driver ready. No external Flash memory is required.
